What does a new roof cost on your house?

Every other roof calculator asks you to guess your square footage and then runs it through a model. This one measures your actual roof from aerial imagery, shows you what it measured, and prices it against 43,244 real competitive bids.

Where these prices come from

Most roofing cost estimates are models: a national average, adjusted by a regional multiplier someone chose. Ours is a count of what contractors actually bid.

2026 edition, published 2026-08-05. Bids run from 2024-08-05 to 2026-08-04. The statewide median is $711.04 per square. We publish a city-level figure only where we hold at least 30 separate roofs and 10 different contractors bidding in that city — otherwise you get the statewide number and we say so on the page.
