# BidList

> BidList is a roofing marketplace that connects U.S. homeowners (currently focused in California) with pre-screened, licensed roofing contractors. Homeowners enter their address; BidList measures the roof remotely by satellite, and contractors return competitive bids — typically within 25 minutes. No phone calls, no sales pitches.

BidList is operated by BidList, Inc., founded by Ian Collins and Alex Parker. The team has ~10 years of experience in the home improvement industry. The company has facilitated 1,200+ completed roofing projects and finds quotes through the marketplace average ~14% below market rates.

## Pricing

- **For homeowners:** Free. Quotes and advisory are provided at no cost. Homeowners pay only the contractor they select.
- **For contractors:** Contractors set their own pricing in BidList. They receive matched job opportunities and pay BidList only when they win and complete a job. There are no advertising fees or per-lead charges.
